Archway is now one of just 10 Low Carbon Zones, chosen by the Mayor from across London. The aim is for Archway to achieve a 20% reduction in carbon emissions by 2012, and a 60% reduction by 2020. Partners in this are stakeholders like the Whittington Hospital, while Islington is tackling the issue of improvements to the Homes for Islington properties. The Better Archway Forum has a team of eco champions visiting private properties in the zone in March to explain more.
